Rev. Dr. Jay Hogewood
Senior Pastor
Reverend Jay Hogewood has served as Rayne’s senior pastor since July 2017. Before moving to Rayne Jay served as the pastor of St. John’s United Methodist Church in Baton Rouge. Prior to that, Jay served as pastor of Ingleside and St. Luke’s United Methodist Churches in Baton Rouge and as Pastor of Congregational Care on the staff of University United Methodist Church in Baton Rouge.
Jay received his B.A. in English and history from Samford University in Birmingham. He then completed his M.Div. at Truett Theological Seminary at Baylor University. His Ph.D. is in Hebrew Bible/Theological Hermeneutics from Brite Divinity School, Texas Christian University.
